Historically societal norms and cultural expectations have often marginalized men’s emotional and psychological well-being. The stigma attached to expressing vulnerability has perpetuated silence, leading to severe consequences .This topic aims to explore the challenges men face, the evolving perceptions of masculinity, and the legal and social frameworks addressing these issues.
Meaning of the topic
Men’s issues encompass a range of challenges , including societal pressures,discrimination,
and health concerns that uniquely affect men. These issues often stem from traditional gender roles, such as the expectation to be emotionally stoic ,financially stable, and physically strong .
Men’s mental health refers to the psychological and emotional well-being of men. Common problems include depression, anxiety, suicide, and substance abuse. Despite the high prevalence of these issues ,men are less likely to seek help due to stigma and fear of judgement.
